Born in Austria, Marc Sadler is a French citizen and currently lives in Milan. He graduated in industrial aesthetics at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. With a passion for experimentation in plastics, he perfected the first thermoplastic ski boot in the early seventies. He specialised in design for sport, working with all the most important multinationals.

He exported into furnishing design his experiences from the sporting sector, innovating materials and processes. He has won the Compasso d'Oro twice, in 1995 for Drop by Flos, the first silicone wall light and in 2008 for the Big bookcase by Caimi Brevetti. His back protector designed for Dainese, is part of the permanent collection at the MOMA. In 1977 he was elected designer of the year at the Salon du Meuble in Paris.
